Pastoral System
At the heart of our provisions is a deep commitment to the wellbeing of every student in our care. As a parent, we understand how important it is to know that your child is not only safe, but truly supported emotionally, socially and academically.
Our pastoral care is built on strong relational approach supported by trauma informed practices and the PACE model (playfulness, acceptance, curiosity, empathy). These are not just strategies, they are the foundation of how we connect with young people every day.
We know that some students arrive feeling isolated, anxious or unsure of themselves. Whether its worries about school, their emotions or their learning we are here to listen, understand and help them rebuild confidence. Over the years we’ve seen how these approaches can make a real difference, helping students to feel seen, valued and ready to engage with their education again.
We work closely with families to ensure that support is consistent and meaningful. When your child joins us, they become part of a nurturing environment where relationships matter and every voice is heard.
Beyond the Classroom: Enrichment and targeted interventions’
At our provision we understand that every young person is unique with individual needs, strengths and aspirations. That’s why our support goes far beyond the classroom. We offer a wide range of targeted interventions and personalised enrichment opportunities designed to help students thrive socially, emotionally and academically.
Our approach is guided by each student Education, Health and care plane (EHCP) or individual support plane. These documents are not just paperwork, they are central to how we shape meaningful, outcome driven support. Whether a student needs help with emotional regulation, confidence building or social interaction we tailor our interventions to meet those specific gaols.
One of the key tools we use is Boxall Profiling, which helps us understand a student’s social and emotional development in depth. This allows us to identify areas of need and track progress over time, ensuring that our support is both responsive and effective.
Alongside targeted support, we offer inclusive enrichment opportunities that are personalised to each student. These sessions are designed to build self-esteem, develop new interests and foster a sense of belonging. From music studio, school leadership, skills for life and community engagement our enrichment programme helps students discover their strengths and feel proud of who they are.
We believe that every child deserves to feel supported, included and inspired, not just in lessons but in every aspect of their school experience.
